Operations & Maintenance
The Project Road comprises of 17.3 km of mainline motorway and associated slip roads between Junctions 17 (North of Watergrasshill) to Junction 14 (Fermoy North) of the M8 including the 450m viaduct over the River Blackwater. From our Fermoy depot, our team provides a full suite of maintenance services on the Project Road, from routine daily inspections and patrols on the road and associated structures, to detailed inspections and maintenance on drainage, road furniture and environmental and landscape management. We also carry out repairs (both temporary and permanent) to road pavement and other assets associated with the project.
O&M Fermoy M8 PPP

O&M Limerick Tunnel PPP
The Limerick Tunnel project commenced in July 2010 and comprises of a 675m dual bore tunnel crossing of the River Shannon in Limerick. The project has an extensive fibre optic Intelligent Transport System (ITS) and state of the art tunnel control and response SCADA system monitored from a manned control room on a 24/7/365 basis.
O&M Motorway Maintenance and Renewals Contract (ELS)
In 2013 Lagan Operations and Maintenance formed the Egis Lagan Services joint venture with our partner Egis Road Operation S.A, to provide this service. The project comprises the routine operation and maintenance of over 350Kms of Motorway and National Road network and includes the normal inspections, environmental maintenance, incident response, and winter maintenance core activities together with full liaison with the local authorities and the Motorway Management Traffic Control Centre.
O&M Gort to Tuam M17/M18 PPP (ALIS)
In 2014 Lagan Operations and Maintenance formed A-Way Lagan Infrastructure Services Limited (ALIS) joint venture with our trusted partner STRABAG to perform the operations and maintenance obligations of this scheme, which forms part of the Atlantic corridor outlined under Transport 21.
